Every spring I start to get excited, the snow is starting to recede, (well it's supposed to!) the sun is shining, the days are longer and the chickens start laying eggs again! The road may even stay clear long enough to safely walk it without slipping or sliding!
I also like to update and freshen our website. So have a look around and let me know what you think!
I decided to add a blog to keep people up to date on what is happening on the "farm". We no longer have goats, we sold them, our dog died, sadly in a hunters trap and the cat is still in doors, antsy to get outside. We continue to have chickens but the flock has grown smaller and we are not sure where we want to go with that, keep having enough eggs to sell or downsize for our own use only. Can't wait to let the hens out soon, when the snow is less than a foot on the ground! It is a dilemma!
We do plan to put in new gardens this year and start to grow more food again. For health/physical reasons and lack of time as well as poor weather last year we didn't grow much, but that is going to start again! We may even have fresh produce in the shop.
Stay tuned as the blog develops. Let us know what interests you, what you would like to see more of and of course we are always open for orders! Currently I am working on Easter baking orders - available for pick up at the Woodstock Farm Market or out here at the lake.
Have a great day, the weather is supposed to warm up to 0 today! Almost t-shirt and black fly weather!
